The Development of New Space in Middle Eastern Cities
16. september
The conference "Youth and the City – the Development of New Space in Middle Eastern Cities" intends to explore the impact of the young generations on the urban landscapes of the region and the development of new forms of youth cultures within the cities. Through the analysis of the social forms developing among the young in places such as the Internet café, the café, the Campus, the class room, "the Corniche", the sports club, the park or even the mountains surrounding the cities: it is the idea to describe and analyse places where a new youth culture has developed, and where new forms of space are becoming visible.
